COVID-19 has changed the plans for everyone, that’s for sure. It has been a strange and hectic time to say the least. Not only across the country, but the world, couples have cancelled or postponed their wedding day given the circumstances.

Being that there is so much involved in a wedding between a venue, multiple vendors, photography, food just to mention a few things. Not having wedding insurance and something happening could potentially blow up your budget.

This is why due to the current events people have been looking more into wedding insurance for when it gets celebrated at a later date. Consumers Advocate worked on a comprehensive  research that reviews different wedding insurance companies, their options and things to consider when looking for one. They have taken into account the policy options, customer service, and even the average costs.

Now, it is important to highlight that some wedding insurance companies are not offering cancellation coverage because we are still in the middle of the pandemic. This could change as the situation hopefully improves in the future. And even though nobody knows exactly how the near future (post-covid) is going to look like, it doesn’t hurt to check out what wedding insurance can offer. Having a plan is necessary in case something goes wrong.

Some people are not sure if they need wedding insurance. A question that helps to determine if you need insurance is; do you have the amount of money to cover any damages? If the answer is no, then you should consider it. Wedding insurance is not a one-size-fits-all, so you have to really make sure it has what you need, and definitely shop around! Doing this could get you the right coverage and price for your special day and most importantly, your budget.
