Welcome to the land of fairy tales with a fashion shoot sure to please your senses entitled, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The photo series has been split into two acts. The first act includes the portrayal of the unrequited love between Lysander and Hermia carried out in an enchanted forest setting with an overflowing, dramatic ballgown suited for any bride who wants to feel like a goddess. The second act dons a playful rendition of transformation of the characters into mischievous fairies in a woodland scene at a beautiful waterfall setting featuring a sprightly dress with a flirtatious silhouette.

The team for this concept envisioned an outdoor space as the backdrop and built the story, the design elements and the style around the beauty of the environment. Choosing the location was difficult because of the logistics associated with organizing a styled shoot. Inevitably, Daphni Engle, the photographer, mentioned a location she was aware of that checked all the boxes needed…under one condition – that nobody spills the beans on how to find her hidden forest where she now uses as one of her favorite spots for shooting her clients.

It was decided to split this story up into two scenes: one with more traditional styling and the second with risk-taking in regards to hair and makeup. Because the story behind Midsummer Night’s Dream lends credence to both scenes, it worked out in allowing the entire story to unfold in such a magical and metaphoric way.
